2012 Itinerary at a Glance
Begins on
Monday,
Sept. 10th and ends on Wednesday, Sept. 19th
Day 1:
Arrival at Milan/Malpensa Airport. Transfer by taxi to nearby Le Robinie
Hotel and Country Club. After a little rest, Welcome Dinner in the
excellent hotel restaurant, and some orientation for your vacation in Italy.
Day 2:
Golfers:
Le
Robinie Golf Course, with lunch in the restaurant.
Non-golfers:
Guided
tour of Milan with lunch in a nice restaurant in the city center and free time.
Pick up golfers en route to the Palace Hotel in Como. Unpack -- We are
home!
Day 3: Tour day.
A
relaxing cruise on Lake Como by private boat. Lunch in the charming village of
Bellagio, with free time for shopping.
Day 4: Golfers: Menaggio e Cadenabbia Golf Club, with lunch.
Non-golfers: Guided tour of Villas Carlotta and Balbianello
and their gardens on Lake Como, with lunch
in the village of Tremezzo..
Day 5: Free day in Como. Morning walking tour, and
time to explore.
Day 6: Golfers: Golf Club Monticello with lunch.
Non-golfers: trip to Lake Lugano, (Switzerland) with lunch and a guided
tour of the city and its surroundings.
Day 7: Tour day. Visit to Lake Maggiore, cruise by
boat to its islands, lunch on the Isola dei Pescatori.
Day 8: Golfers: Villa d'Este Country Club, with lunch.
Non-golfers: short boat trip to Isola Comacina in Lake Como, with a
traditional 4-course lunch and interesting commentary about the island's unique
history.
Day 9: Tour day. Visit to the historic city of
Bergamo, including the ancient Upper City, with lunch in a characteristic
restaurant. Farewell Dinner at the hotel.
Day 10:
Transfer to Malpensa Airport
for your flight home. Arrivederci!
